ASCLEPIUS
WHO WAS ASCLEPIUS
Asclepius was a figure from Greek mythology, considered the god of medicine and healing. His skills in healing the sick and reviving the dead made him a symbol of hope for health and protection against disease. In the context of cybersecurity, Asklepios is our metaphor for protecting data and systems from digital threats. Just as Asclepius applied his knowledge to healing, we apply our skills to identify, prevent and respond to cyberattacks, striving to maintain the health of IT infrastructure in the critical healthcare sector.

We are strengthening Cybersecurity in the Health Service
CRITICALITY OF HEALTH SERVICES
The ENISA report highlighted the pervasive nature of cyber threats across sectors, emphasizing that no industry is immune and that healthcare is the third largest target of cyber incidents. It is in line with the Network and Information Security Directive's classification, covering a range of sectors including defence, education, media, retail and digital service providers. Key trends include the prevalence of ransomware and accessibility threats, the misuse of legal spy tools, the impact of geopolitics on cyber operations, and the professionalization of As-a-Service programs by cybercriminals. Techniques such as double extortion, data theft, and new social engineering methods have evolved, while law enforcement has increased its efforts against groups like Hive and Trickbot. The main malware threats include information thieves such as Agent Tesla, with a reported decline in classic mobile malware. Additionally, the report highlights the rise of AI chatbots in cybersecurity, the complexity of DDoS attacks, internet shutdowns, information manipulation in conflicts, and an increased focus on supply chain attacks, illustrating the dynamic and challenging cyber threat landscape.
